The history of wellness in Sonoma stretches across centuries and cultures, starting with the Indigenous practices of the Pomo, Wappo, and Miwok tribes, who had a deep spiritual connection with the land. The early 1900s saw the rise of health retreats and resorts, capitalizing on Sonoma’s natural hot springs and temperate climate. Resorts like Boyes Hot Springs and Morton’s Hot Springs attracted visitors seeking the therapeutic benefits of mineral waters and a tranquil environment. This legacy evolved over time to include the organic farming, yoga, meditation, and holistic practices that emerged from the counterculture movement of the 1960s and 70s.

At Pushpak Wine Country Tours, we are excited to continue this tradition with our environmentally friendly wellness tours. On our tours, you’ll drive our Pushpak electric trike (two per vehicle) in and around some of Sonoma’s most beautiful areas where your guide will share information about Sonoma and its rich history with wellness. Our current offerings include:

1. Trike and Hike. Departing from Sonoma’s picturesque town square, participants ride our three-wheeled electric Pushpak vehicles (2 per vehicle) through Sonoma’s wine country.

This tour includes all the best parts of our standard tours, including fascinating historical information about Sonoma, stops at local beauty spots, a cheese tasting* and a charcuterie board. Then during the final hour, you will park your trikes at one of three locations (easy or moderate, tailored to your group’s needs). Here, you will embark on a guided hike where you see a diverse array of native plants and animals.

2. Trike and Mindfulness. Departing from Sonoma’s picturesque town square, participants ride our three-wheeled electric Pushpak vehicles (2 per vehicle) through Sonoma’s wine country.
